Korea Trip Day 8 & 9 - Last Entry

Day 8 - Insadong, Myeong Dong

It was our last day and I was feeling sad! The work and stress is starting to fill my mind again. I wanted to make full use of the last day and shop all the remaining money I have prepared for this trip. It was gloomy and drizzling from morning but it was unlike the one in Everland. The wind was blowing and it was cool! The perfect weather to shop. We woke up later than usual and set off from the hotel at around 10:30am. We went out to search for lunch at Abiko curry again! This time B and I ordered the spicy level of 1 as we wanted to enjoy it. Their chicken katsu was delicious and I really love their rice as well.

After lunch, we head to Insadong to get souvenirs. We reached the same street we went before and we now slowly shop our way through the main street. I bought many things here! The shops are not all souvenirs and there were nice accessories store too.

At the end of our souvenirs shopping, it was already 3pm! We then went to Seoul station as a detour as I wanted to buy more t-shirts from Zara. Ended up getting 2 more shirts! We then proceed to Myeong Dong where I shop and shop and shop.. I bought a skirt in this shop called Bookmark, and went to WHO.A.U. They were having 50% discounts and I bought many t-shirts, another shorts and also a scarf. Then we went to Forever 21 where I bought 2 more skirts! Then we went on to have dinner at Go-Gung. O was complaining as she wanted to try new restaurants. But I wanted to eat there again because the ambiance is nice and I want to try other dish.

She does not want to separate from us and we went to Go-Gung! I ordered the Bulgogi and it was too much! I felt so hungry before but then after a few bites I was full. Probably too excited from the shopping.

After dinner we continued shopping! I went to Innisfree and bought a few packets of masks and then went to Laneige to buy the BB Cream and other cosmetics. I really loved the BB Cream but it is twice the price here in Singapore! After that we were more or less slumped. I still wanted to shop but it was already 9.30pm!

We then met O back at the street where she wanted to look at shoes. Then she said she has not gone in the first shop that we parted at. So we accompanied her in and she bought 2 heel sandals after. Them we wrapped it up and went back to Hong Dae.

I bought Cheetos and Soju at the 7-11 before we head back to the hotel and we drank that night! It was only one bottle and I was already feeling very drunk! We bought 2 and could not finish it.

A peaceful sleep follows and it was our last night in Korea. =(

Day 9 - Hongdae, Home

It was the final day! We have only until 3 pm before we have to head to airport.

We went to search for breakfast and ended up eating at Dunkin' Donuts! The Dunkin there is much better than in Singapore. They sell bagels and other stuff instead of just doughnuts!

It was nice and I wish I could eat there again.

Then we went walking around, buying stuff from Watsons and then chilling at the café nearby the hotel.

We also went pass the Hello Kitty Café and looked around.

Before long it was time to go and have lunch before heading back to the hotel.

For our last meal, we ate at a small Japanese restaurant at the back of the hotel. It was delicious!

We took a bus from the hotel and went straight to airport.
We reached there early and did all the usual check in and stuff.
Unfortunately, our plane was delayed for more than 2 hours and I was so worried because I have to go to work the next day.

We walked around in the airport and for a top airport, I felt that it is still way behind Changi Airport.

When we finally board the plane, it was full of children and I was very frustrated by the kid in front and at the back. One was pushing my seat constantly. The front kid annoys the lady in front of him and I was lucky I was not sitting in front of that boy.

The food was not much better and I could not get a good sleep as well. Will not be taking Asiana airline anymore for sure!

We reached Changi at 2am and I reached home at 3am. Slept at 4am and woke up at 9am. Took the taxi to work for the first time and that's the end of my holiday!!!
