Well, apparently for my friend O, logic is but a foreign concept.
Problem statement: Posting photo in FB
When we were in Korea, she asks us not to post any of her photos on FB.
When asked why? I still remember the exact words and I quote: " I just don't like it."
Then I replied and I quote: "Oh, ok........"
So then we came back to Singapore and I was eager to share my photos on FB with my friends as well as creating a small photo album diary.
Then when I see pictures with her in it and not able to post, I became irritated but so at first I let it pass.
But my friends then asked why is it so weird that the photos are always only me inside?
Are you travelling alone or are you so narcissistic that you only took photos of yourself?
Some even speculate that I went with a guy.
Well then for this and also because some of the photos with her in it was nice, I decided to upload one or two of photos of us.
Then she made noise to my friend because I already blocked her on Whatsapp and I don't pick up her 7 miss call.
She said that we "promised" not to post her photos. What about the promise and she goes on to talk about this promise.
My defense is that she went to the US with her friends and they posted her picture so why can't I?
Her reason was she didn't like it so I hide the photo posts from her so she don't have to see it.
If she goes and stalk my page then is it my fault?
Asked her about these 2 points and she did not answer but rebutt with the oh-so-classic line of "it's not about the picture, it's about the promise, the promise.."
Asking what harm does the picture do to her and again we are hit by the chorus of THE PROMISE (that was never made in the first place).
Illogical parts:
1. She asked us not to post her photos and tell our friends to look up the places on the internet such as google up the places.
2. She say FB only show the photos to father, mother, aunties, and close friends.
3. She gave analogy that FB is a product, not everyone must buy. This leads to second ridiculous analogy that LV is a product and see, not everybody must buy.
If she thinks FB is not for her, or is childish, then why does she have an account then? Her FB page hides all the photos she have and yet she stalks others photo in the news feed? I can't understand her logic. Why don't she just delete her account if she is so against this? Why must she force me to do what she say? To post only the ones she approved?
4. Then she goes on to say that bottom line we are egoistic! And the third funniest analogy is that she refer us to people that buys LV but let the poor starve.
Then when you buy clothes that are branded you are saying yourself. And anyway, what's the link in this case? No clue.
Why the hell must I not post pictures that are nice just because she "don't like it"?
She refuses to tell me her reason then I have the rights to refuse to follow.
Who gave her the authority to rule over the world.
Judging by her common sense, anything that follows her lead will be doomed.
